La droguerie is a Paris institution. Impossible to miss if you’re in the Halles district. With its multicolored storefront, the droguerie doesn’t go unnoticed.
Founded in 1975 by two friends, you’ll find everything you need to make your own clothes, from thread and bias to buttons of every color and shape.
The store’s staff describe themselves as “color merchants”.
If you visit, plan to spend a little time there: the store is (almost) always crowded, and you may find yourself queuing for a while.

Unlike La Droguerie, the front of this Parisian haberdashery is very easy to miss! The store, founded in the 90s, is located at the end of a pretty cobbled courtyard in the Marais district.
Once there, you’ll find a wide selection of threads and buttons, zippers, fabrics and wools, bias and embroidery accessories.

If you’re looking for a bargain, then Fil 2000 is for you!
Founded in 1980, this small Parisian haberdashery caters primarily to fashion and clothing professionals. However, the boutique also opens its doors to sewing and hobby enthusiasts. Don’t be afraid to push open the door.

Unlike Fil 2000, the Charonne haberdashery is the perfect address for advice on which buttons to choose for your next project, or which color thread goes best with which fabric.
Located in the 11th arrondissement since the early 90s, this small shop is packed with threads, bias and zippers of all sizes at very reasonable prices.
You’ll also find ideas for customizing garments: badges, lace, sequins… enough to stimulate the imagination!
